The idea of making a fishboard is a collaboration between UWL Surfboards Factory and I.

Shaped by Renaud Cardinal this fishboard is entirely (from the nose to the tail, and both side) covered by salmon skins I have collected from local supermarkets.

I cleaned, removed all the scales (in order to make necklaces out of them), and washed each skins with patience, dedication, respect and love for every fish I had to touch.

Recycling fish skins and their scales is a way to honor Oceans and their inhabitants. In that sense, I contribute to communicate, preserve and ennoble living beings that are exploited…
